STRe Solutions was founded in 2004 by Sue Salvesen, a former Silicon
Valley Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Sue has over 20 years of extensive
hands-on financial and management experience and more than 7 years experience as a CFO.
She has led 3 IPOs and several acquisitions.
Prior to founding STRe Solutions, Sue served as interim CFO for a public software company,
Industri-Matematik, where she participated in the sale of the company to a leading venture
capital firm. Sue was CFO at Mockingbird Networks, Quintus (sold to Avaya), Unify, and AG Associates (sold to AST).
Sue began her career at Ford Motor Company as a financial analyst, spent six years at ROLM
Corporation in various finance and accounting roles, one year at PDL as their first
Controller, and then joined Aspect Telecommunications where she was Corporate Controller
for six years. At Aspect she led the growth of the finance organization from 2 to 35
people while the company's revenues grew from $5M to over $100M.
Sue's industry knowledge includes enterprise software and services,
semiconductor equipment, and telecommunications. She also has extensive experience in M&A activity.
Sue received her BA Degree in Economics with High Honors and Distinction in Economics
from Douglass College of Rutgers University. She also holds an MBA from the University
of Pittsburgh. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma. Sue is on the
Advisory Board of LinkSV and is Treasurer of and serves on the Board of Directors and
the Finance committee for a local non-profit organization, Girls for a Change.
She is also a member of Financial Executives International and Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives.
